Turbo5,000

Would you like to know the one beauty tool that I find absolutely ESSENTIAL to my daily routine and can’t possibly imagine living without?

(Okay, that may be a LITTLE dramatic, but still…)

I’ll give you a clue.

The following pictures have something in common.

WELL.

Now, take a look at this…

The secret is out.

Hubby calls my straightener the “TurboChi5,000”, because well, he is mesmerized by its power to transform my hair.  He sees me using it EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. Ohhhhh, sweet straightener, how I love thee!  Fortunately, now that my hair is longer, the curls/waves are weighted down and are so much easier to manage.  I honestly don’t know what I did back before straighteners were invented!  Isn’t it crazy what the power of a beauty tool can do?! The first time my in-laws saw me in my “natural state”, they didn’t even recognize me and actually walked up to introduce themselves!  Too funny.

What is your must-have beauty tool/product?  Please, do tell!

I hope everyone has a fabulous Thursday and a wonderful weekend!

Blessings/XOXO

PS. My FIL is doing SO well!! Thank you so much for your prayers, we have really felt them this week.  He is out of ICU and we are praying he makes it home SOON.  I cannot thank you enough for your encouraging and kind words.  We appreciate it so much!

  2. you are adorable!!!! i haven't been using my straightener lately because, well, lazy, and i just haven't had time! the other thing that I always have to have on even if i don't do anything else, is powder. if i don't have my compact with me, oh it's not good!=) (and something on my lips, usually just a glossy chapstick=))

  3. I think your hair looks good curly. Of course, I use a straightner every single day too.

Glad to hear your FIL is doing better. Prayers really are amazing.

  4. i love my straightener too..your hair is so cute curly too. But wow your chi 5000 has a lot of power. My Model will need that one for her curls too if she ever decides to go straight. I just have a regular chi.

  5. I like to split my life in two phases: BC and AC. The BC (before Chi) phase was a HOT MESS- and I wondered why I didn't have a boyfriend when everyone else did?! I look at pictures and now I know why. I couldn't LIVE without my Chi!

  7. OMG your curls are seriously gorgeous! But yes, I often think to myself after I blow dry my hair into the giant frizz ball that it is - WHAT DID I DO BEFORE THE CHI? How did I ever get a boyfriend?

So glad to hear your FIL out of ICU! Continued prayers that he's home soon!

  8. Yup, my pink chi is the essential. I have short, wavy hair and after I blow dry it it looks like a mushroom cap until I flat-iron it.

  9. Oh my goodness, we ARE very similar, my MIL was right! My own mom even gave me a "wow" when she saw me after blowdrying, but before straightening last time I was visiting in Ohio. It's THAT bad. I would not survive without my Chi (that my fabulous MIL bought for me last year, by the way!) Cute post!

  10. I have been dying for a CHI! I have naturally curly hair and it's way frizzy. What do you use to tame your curls?

  11. Wow!! I love my CHI as well--I have fairly straight hair anyway but the Chi just makes it look so much better!

  12. I have a chi that's a straightener and a large barrel curling iron and I absolutely adore it!

Besides that, I also can't live without my Shu Uemura eyelash curler! It's awesome!!!

  13. OMGosh you really are so pretty.
Second, I love your hair, curly or straight, it all looks great!

My hair is short. I have really thick hair and it is cute in a bob that is long in the front and short in the back. I have to straighten my hair every singel day. However, I do not have a CHI. It has been on my wish list for a long time. My birthday is next week and I think I maybe buying it for myself. (It's ok to do that isn't?)

As far as the beauty item I can't live without. Well, that would be my Bare Minerals makeup. All of my makeup from foundation, to eyeliner, to eyeshaddow, to even my lip gloss is all Bare Minerals. I love the stuff!!

  16. Wow I had no idea your hair was naturally curly like mine! I use my straightener almost every day too, but I just use a cheapo brand from Wal-Mart! It's funny, because if I'm ever just too lazy to straighten it for work, everyone asks if I got a perm.

  17. Mine is definitely my chi! I dont know what in the world I did before it!

  18. You look so different with curly hair! xx

  19. Definitely my straightener! Mine's a paul mitchell and it's pretty much a miracle worker. You should wear your hair curly sometimes, it's gorgeous! XOXO

  20. Holy cow! Who knew??? My straightener is just about to die I fear. It won't turn off unless I unplug it. I've been weird about spending so much money on a Chi but they seem to be worth it for so many people. Maybe I'll check it out!

  21. Wow! Your hair looks awesome either way! I've always wished I had curly hair. It gives you options: straight or curly!

  22. hey girl! just tagged you for an award over at my place! = )

  23. Your hair is aDORable curly! You are just like my other two girls - they have natural curls but always use their Chi's, ha ha! I use one too - but if I had your gorgeous curls, I probably would go au naturale quite often! I cannot live without my Clinique face moisturizer. When you get to be my ripe old age, you can't get enough of the stuff! Glad to hear your FIL is recovering - God is good!
